During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
A number of civilians were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.
Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.
Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.
"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.
Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets attacked energy facilities, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.
Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to repair systems.
A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.
Several of the people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were injured.
The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.
The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.
Authorities told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting energy systems.
Officials stated energy workers and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
