19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a challenging period, managing just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his first trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in that event in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on court had led observers to doubt if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an better service.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional title, took control to create a final set.
He rescued 4 initial opportunities in a competitive final set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner earned the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
